Your 3-hour cruise of Tasman Island will begin from Port Arthur at 10am, or 2pm, depending on the time slot chosen. You will board a uniquely designed yellow boat, which offers clear views of your surroundings. Tasman Island is located close to the southeast coast of Tasmania, which is famous for its picturesque landscape and wilderness. Relish breathtaking views of the perfectly preserved landscape of Tasman Island, and get a peek into its untouched wilderness. You will get up close to the stunning marine wildlife around the islands, which includes dolphins, seals, and whales. You will also get a chance to discover the stunning natural rock formations and discover their crooks and crannies. You will pass under some of the largest cliffs in the Southern Hemisphere, and see a range of archways, deep-sea caves, waterfalls, and other natural formations. After approximately 3 hours, you will make your way back to the starting point.
Your experience will start from Pennicott Wilderness Journeys Booking Center situated on Franklin Wharf at Hobart’s waterfront. The brand new vessels can hold up to a maximum of 12 passengers. Outfitted with comfortable leather seats and massive windows, you can enjoy a fun cruise of the area. The cruise ship will go down the Derwent River and pass by the historic Battery Point, which is currently home to some of the rich and famous of Tasmania. You will pass by well-known attractions such as West Point Casino and the Shot Tower. Standing at nearly 60 meters in height, the uniquely tapered Shot Tower is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Tasmania. As you go more towards the south, Mount Wellington towers over the city and presents a stunning sight. Finally, you will reach Iron Pot, the oldest lighthouse in all of Australia. Next up is Betsey Island, which is home to a diverse variety of seabirds, such as cormorants, gulls, and white-bellied sea eagles. As you loop around Betsey Island, you will see Hope Beach, famous for its offshore winds and large breaks.
