This next pizza restaurant is a favorite of mine, and it is seen by many as the best in Cairo. This will be the award-winner “What the Crust” restaurant, which is quite unique, and you will see why! First, you should know that What the Crust is included in the “Top 100 Best Pizzerias in the World” list; this says a lot about their pizza.
Another special thing about What the Crust is that they are Africa’s only pizzeria to be approved by Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana (AVPN). This means What the Crust only uses Neapolitan techniques when making their pizzas. So they are your go-to restaurant if you want authentic Neapolitan pizza.
There is also a heartwarming story about What the Crust. It was founded by a couple who dreamed of leaving their desk jobs, and they managed to do just that! One of the couples is Dareen, the only Arab pizza chef ranked on the 50 Top Pizza World as the 100th Best. What the Crust is also family owned; impressing, right? The restaurant’s story makes you want and try it out.

Perhaps a reason for their unique pizzas is that all the kinds of cheese they use are made at their restaurants; this is so cool! We love a restaurant that cares about the quality of their ingredients; at least you will be aware of where they get their ingredients from.
Another fun fact about Chef Carlo is that he is certified by the French Ordre Culinaire International. Don’t be surprised if you hear people calling the restaurant Sapori de Carlo. After all, this is its full name. However, it is mostly known as Sapori.
When it comes to Sapori’s menu, you won’t be disappointed. Their menu includes salads, appetizers, Italian sandwiches, pizza, pasta, and desserts. Of course, we recommend trying as many kinds of their pizza as possible since this is mostly what they are famous for. One taste of Sapori’s pizza, and you will find yourself telling everyone you know about Sapori, just like us!

What exactly is a pizza cake? It includes layered pizzas that form a cake, which are glued together to take the shape of a cake by using a lot of cheese. Now, that does sound delicious!
So expect normal pizzas and pizza cake; they will taste amazing. That’s why we love Vinny’s. You can choose whatever kind of pizza you prefer but try their pizza cakes at least once. Their square pizza takes the shape of a square, and while many may not like it because pizza is known for its round shape, it is still worth the try.
It is also nice that their pizzas have unique names as well. For example, you will find that they serve pizzas called less drama, more pesto pizza, the beast pizza, spicy salami pizza, and truffle shuffle pizza.
