Best GRU Airport Rides & Transfers

Most options we compare across booking platforms fall between $70 and $200, with a median price of around $94. While you may see listings starting as low as $46 or going up to $285, the majority of travelers book within that core band. This pricing typically covers the private vehicle and driver for the transfer itself.

The vast majority are private services. Out of the 30 options we compare, 28 (93%) are tagged as private tours or private transfers. This means you will likely have your own dedicated driver and vehicle rather than sharing the ride with other passengers, which aligns with the theme of convenience and transportation that defines this category.

Services are offered in three languages: English, Portuguese, and Spanish. Since the primary function is transportation from Guarulhos International Airport into Sao Paulo, multilingual support ensures clear communication regarding your destination and any specific drop-off instructions.

Transfers typically last between 45 minutes and 3.5 hours, with a median duration of about 1.4 hours. The actual time depends heavily on traffic conditions leaving Guarulhos and your final destination within the sprawling Sao Paulo metro area. Most standard transfers to central hotels fall toward the shorter end of that range.

Booking ahead is highly recommended for reliability and peace of mind. Reviewers consistently highlight that drivers are punctual and provide excellent service, often meeting them right at arrivals. With 97% of options offering free cancellation, you can secure a fixed price and a confirmed meet-and-greet without risking long queues or unpredictable meter fares later.

You will most likely travel in a standard car or a minivan. Across the options we compare, 90% use a Car, while 10% offer a Minivan or Van, which is useful if you have larger groups or extra luggage. All listed options include the vehicle and driver in the price, so you do not need to arrange separate transport upon arrival.

Many options include comprehensive door-to-door service. About 20% of the listings explicitly include hotel pickup and drop-off as part of the package. Additionally, 50% include the driver and 27% include taxes, ensuring there are no hidden fees for fuel or tolls during your journey from the airport to your accommodation.

Stay alert, keep valuables hidden, and use official taxis. Avoid displaying expensive items openly.

Use the airport shuttle bus or a registered taxi. Uber is also reliable and often cheaper than meters.

Carry Brazilian Reais in cash for street vendors and small shops. Most restaurants accept cards widely.
