This site has been there in UNESCO’s list of cultural heritage sites since 1995. Your first stop will be at the iconic St. Barbara’s Cathedral. The bridge leading to the cathedral is adorned with several statues and statuataries on the sidewalks. The interior of the cathedral is equally breathtaking. The famous vaulted ceilings that are commonly associated with the Gothic style of architecture can be seen. Several frescoes, depicting life and religious activities in the medieval town have been preserved. The glass windows, altars and choir stalls are incredible to witness in person. Originally used to store water, in case the supply was cut off, it presents an incredible sight when it is lit up after dark.
