Once you take off, enjoy a 10 to 20-minute flight as you soar over the Aoraki, giving your adrenaline levels enough time to peak to get you ready for the jump. Since this is a tandem skydiving experience, a professional Tandem Master will be present every step of the way to ensure that you have a safe experience. Once you take the leap, get to freefall for 30 seconds over the highest mountain in New Zealand followed by 3 to 5 minutes under a parachute as you return safely. If you’d like, you can also extend the duration of freefall by selecting the 13,000 ft or the 15,000 ft tandem skydiving options.

Your experience will begin at Aoraki/Mt Cook Airport only a short 4-min drive from the village. After the safety briefing from the experts, put on the headphones and safety gear, and hop on to the Helicopter or the Ski plane that takes you over Mount Cook National Park. Prepare yourself for the stunning aerial views of the Tasman Valley and catch sights of the glacier lake and snow-covered land, Hochstetter Icefall, Grand Plateau, Plateau Hut, and more. The iconic spots look like an enchanting wonderland from the sky! The yearlong snow-covered Alpines are simply a sight to behold. Land on the ground to spend some time in the tranquility of the awe-inspiring nature in the Alpines. After some free time to sightsee and click pictures, you can squeeze in a snow fight before taking the other flight to return back to the Aoraki Mount Cook Airport. The entire experience is enriched with live commentary on what you are seeing and what’s happening at the moment.
