With Downtown Austin as your backdrop, you'll paddle alongside the ever-popular Zilker Park on your journey to engage with the nature, wildlife, and natural history of Barton Springs – famous for its year-round 68-degree (f) water. Weather permitting, participants are encouraged to put themselves in the shoes of ancestors long before them who considered the waters of Barton Creek and Barton Springs of a sacred nature, by taking a quick dip in the shallow area at the headwaters of the creek. This public departure requires advanced registration and does not exceed 25 participants.

This tour takes place during the evening for a leisurely 8 mile ride (a few small hills) around Lady Bird Lake hike-n-bike trail, including Barton Springs, Zilker park, Butler park, the boardwalk and Pfluger bridge, with a stop to view the bats in flight from Congress Ave. bridge after sunset. What sets our trip apart from competitors is we are going on the spring river created by Barton Springs pool. This means that you won't waste 4 hours on a bus and you can make the most of your time in Austin. Every minute of this tour you will be in the water, and when you get out, you'll be just a few minutes away from restaurants, bars, etc. Furthermore, you can choose to stay and linger in the area after the tour and continue the water fun unlike the competitors who will herd back onto a bus and make you sit through traffic for hours to get back to Austin.
