Best Tenerife Canyoning Tours & Guides

Most packages are designed as all-inclusive adventure experiences. While availability varies by operator, common inclusions we see across the options we compare are:

• Professional guide supervision
• Full technical equipment (harnesses, helmets, wetsuits)
• Safety gear and insurance coverage

Note that only about a third of listings explicitly tag 'Guide Included' in their metadata, so it is wise to check the specific itinerary details before confirming your booking.

Expect to set aside roughly 5.5 hours for the experience. Most tours we compare fall within a 4 to 6 hour window, which accounts for travel to the canyon, safety briefings, the descent itself, and post-tour clean-up.

Canyoning is primarily an Adventure Tour (94% of options) focused on nature and thrill-seeking. Only about 12% of the options we compare are tagged as family-friendly. These tours generally require a baseline level of fitness and comfort with water activities, so they may not be ideal for very young children or those with limited mobility.

Guides typically offer support in five languages: Spanish, English, Hungarian, Italian, and Polish. Since 82% of the tours are guided, you will have professional assistance throughout the descent, but it is worth checking your specific listing to confirm language availability if you do not speak Spanish.

Sustainability is a growing focus, but currently only one of the 17 options we compare is tagged as eco-friendly. This represents just 6% of the available listings. If environmental impact is a priority for you, look closely at the operator's description for specific practices rather than relying on general tags.
