Best Kayak Rental on Saint Croix, St Croix

Across the options we compare, nature-focused outings are the clear theme, with about 89% centered on scenery, coastal wildlife, or time on the water. The single most common activity type is cruise and sailing, while adventure and snorkeling also show up often, so this page is not just about a basic kayak handoff and launch.

The options we compare usually sit around $70–$175, with a median price of $85. The wider spread runs about $61–$265, which suggests the lower end is closer to shorter or simpler outings, while the higher end is more likely to reflect longer or more inclusive experiences.

They vary a lot. The options we compare typically range from about 1.2 hours to 7 days, with a median of 1.8 hours. In practice, that means many travellers are choosing a short on-water session, while a smaller number of listings stretch into multi-day trips.

Inclusions are mixed, so it is worth checking each listing closely. Among the options we compare:

• Guides are included most often, appearing in a little over half of listings
• Equipment is provided in about a third
• Hotel pickup and drop-off shows up in about a fifth

If you want the simplest experience, guided options with equipment included are the easiest value comparison.

There is a mix, but no single format dominates. The largest share are guided tours, and there are also group tours and self-guided options in meaningful numbers. Private tours are limited, with only 11% of the options we compare falling into that category, so travellers who want a private outing should book early and compare carefully across platforms.

Booking ahead is sensible, especially if you want a specific format like private or guided. The reassuring part is that 100% of the options we compare offer free cancellation, and 100% also show instant confirmation, so it is relatively easy to lock something in without giving up flexibility.

They can be, depending on the listing. A smaller share are explicitly marked family friendly, so those are worth filtering for if you are traveling with children. We also see 22% tagged eco-friendly across booking platforms, which is useful if you want a lower-impact option, though we would treat that as a platform tag rather than a formal certification. Overall review sentiment is strong, with an average of 4.74★ across 606 reviews combined across booking platforms.

U.S. citizens usually do not need a passport, but a government ID and proof of citizenship are smart to carry.

A car is helpful for beaches and sightseeing. Drive on the left, roads can be narrow, and parking is limited in towns.

Bring reef safe sunscreen, bug spray, water shoes, a light rain jacket, and cash for small shops and taxis.
