Top-Rated Li River Cruises & Yangshuo Tours

Across the 24 options we compare on booking platforms, prices generally range from $85 to $371, with a median price of $187. While you may occasionally see listings as low as $53 or as high as $740, the vast majority of tours fall within that core band. Keep in mind that higher-priced options often include private guides, meals, or hotel transfers.

Most tours last between 4 hours and 1.9 days, with a median duration of 8 hours. This means many travelers can experience the full cruise and surrounding sights in a single day, though some extended itineraries do span nearly two days. If you are short on time, look for options tagged as "Sightseeing Tour" which tend to be shorter than multi-day packages.

Yes, private tours are quite common for this experience. About one-third (33%) of the options we compare are private tours, which is unusually high for this type of activity. These allow you to set your own pace and enjoy the scenery without a large group. The remaining options are primarily shared group tours or guided small groups.

You can find tours conducted in 7 languages: English, Chinese, Spanish, French, Zh-Hant, Italian, and Portuguese. Since the primary activity is a nature-focused cruise, English-speaking guides are widely available, but if you prefer another language, check the specific listing details before booking to ensure availability.

Inclusions vary significantly by provider. Based on our data, the most common inclusions are:

• Meals Included: Found in about 42% of options.
• Guide Included: Available in roughly 29% of options.
• Hotel Pickup and Drop-off: Offered by about 25% of providers.
• Entry Ticket/Cruise Fee: Included in approximately 21% of options.

Many budget-friendly options only cover the boat ride itself, so always verify if transport and food are extra before confirming.

The primary mode of transport is by boat, which is included in 100% of the options since the core experience is a river cruise. However, many tours also involve other methods to reach the boarding point or explore nearby areas:

• Bike: Used in 17% of tours.
• Bus: Used in 12% of tours.
• Walking: Used in 12% of tours.

If you have mobility concerns or prefer not to walk long distances, look for tours that explicitly mention bus or private car transfers.

Booking ahead is recommended, especially for private tours or those with specific language requirements. Flexibility is limited; only 3 options (12%) offer free cancellation, and just 2 options (8%) provide instant confirmation. For the best chance of securing your preferred date and guide, we suggest reserving at least a few days in advance rather than waiting for same-day availability.
