Best Naples-Positano Transfers in Sorrento

When comparing the 11 options we track across booking platforms, most private transfers fall between $130 and $290, with a median price of $141. While the typical spread ranges from around $108 to $1,364, you will rarely find prices outside this band. The higher end of that range reflects premium private vehicles or specialized service levels, while the lower end represents standard sedan transfers.

Given that 100% of the tours we compare are private, travelers generally choose this option for comfort and direct routing. Public transport along the Amalfi Coast often requires multiple bus and ferry changes with tight connections. A private transfer offers door-to-door convenience, which reviewers frequently describe as great and incredible. With 82% of options offering free cancellation, there is little risk in securing a private ride that guarantees a smooth start to your trip.

Most of the 11 listings we analyze provide a comprehensive package rather than just a ride. Common inclusions across these options include:

• Driver included
• Fuel costs
• Hotel pickup and drop-off
• All applicable taxes

Since 55% of the options are classified specifically as Private Transfers, you can expect a dedicated vehicle for your party without shared stops.

The journey typically takes between 1.3 and 2.3 hours, with a median duration of 1.8 hours. This timeframe accounts for traffic conditions on the coastal roads. Because these are private transfers, the driver will adjust the route based on real-time conditions, but you should plan for roughly two hours to ensure a relaxed arrival in Positano.

Based on the data we aggregate, none of the 11 listed options explicitly advertise wheelchair accessibility. Most of these services use standard private cars (accounting for 82% of the transport methods), which may not accommodate wheelchairs without prior arrangement. If mobility access is critical, we recommend contacting the specific tour operator directly after booking to confirm vehicle modifications.

Drivers and support staff for these transfers are available in English and Italian. Since all options are private, communication is direct between you and your driver. English-speaking drivers are common, but if you have specific language preferences or complex logistical needs, it is wise to note this in the booking notes when reserving through our compared platforms.

While these are point-to-point transfers rather than timed attraction tickets, availability can be limited during peak summer months. However, 82% of the options we compare offer instant confirmation, meaning you can secure your ride immediately upon booking. Given the high volume of private transfers required for this route, we advise booking at least a few days in advance to guarantee your preferred time slot.

Take a SITA bus or hire a private driver. Ferries are also available in summer.

Tap water is generally safe but locals prefer bottled water for taste reasons.

Driving is difficult due to narrow roads. Use the Circumvesuviana train instead.
