Explore Shanghai M50 Art District Tours

The options we compare are heavily focused on hands-on cultural activities. Workshops make up the vast majority of listings, and most themes center on Cultural and Art topics. If you are looking for a passive gallery walk, this is not it; instead, you will likely find yourself participating in a creative session with equipment provided.

Prices across booking platforms generally fall between $17 and $63, with the median option costing around $19. While there is a typical spread, most choices sit comfortably in the $19–$33 range. We recommend checking multiple sites to find the best rate, as prices can vary slightly by platform.

Duration varies significantly depending on the specific activity type. Most experiences last between 15 minutes and 1.6 hours, with a median time of about 52 minutes. You should check the specific listing details if you have a tight schedule, as some short demos differ greatly from full workshop sessions.

The format split is quite even. Roughly half of the options we compare are either Guided Tours or Self-Guided experiences (each at 25% share). Additionally, about 38% of all listings include a guide, while others rely on your own exploration or digital instructions.

You can choose from 2 languages: Chinese and English. This covers the primary needs for both local participants and international travellers visiting the art district.

Yes, booking ahead is wise because popular workshop slots often sell out. Since these are interactive sessions rather than open-entry attractions, capacity is limited. Securing your spot in advance ensures you get the preferred time and avoids disappointment.

Most packages are designed to be all-inclusive for participants. Key inclusions we see across platforms are:

• Equipment Provided (in roughly three-quarters of options)
• Guide Included (in over a third of options)
• Drinks Included (in about one-quarter of options)
