Magdalena River Rafting in San Agustin Guide

Across the 51 options we compare, the clearest price band is $29–$157, with a median of $70. There is a wider overall spread of $20–$432, so the higher end usually reflects longer, more tailored, or more private experiences rather than a standard rafting outing.

This is very much a nature-led experience, with 98% of the options we compare themed around nature. In terms of format, sightseeing tours are the most common type, ahead of adventure tours and hiking, so the options listed across booking platforms are not just about adrenaline, they often combine scenery and river surroundings with the activity itself.

Yes, more than many travellers expect. About 29% of the options we compare are private tours, which is a relatively strong share for this kind of activity. That makes private booking worth considering if you want a quieter outing, a more flexible pace, or a trip better suited to your own group.

A good rule of thumb is to allow anything from about 3 hours to a full day, with a median duration of 6 hours. That means there are shorter half day style outings, but many travellers will want to keep a larger block of the day free rather than trying to squeeze this in between other plans.

Inclusions vary quite a bit, so it is worth checking the listing carefully before booking. Across the options we compare, the most common inclusions are:

• Guide included, on about a third of tours
• Equipment provided, on about a quarter
• Insurance included, on a smaller share
• Meals included, also on a smaller share

Entry tickets are much less commonly bundled, so it is best not to assume every option is all inclusive.

Yes. The options we compare are offered in 8 languages, including English and Spanish, plus French, German, Portuguese, Italian, Arabic, and Swedish. That is a broader language spread than many activity pages, so multilingual travellers have a better chance of finding a suitable option across booking platforms.

Usually, yes. Reviews are strong at 4.34★ on average across 1,215 pooled reviews, and the analysed review sentiment is about 88% positive, with repeated mentions of experiences being amazing, super recommended, and supported by kind and pleasant companions. Practical booking flexibility is more limited, though: only about 20% of the options we compare offer free cancellation, and about 18% show instant confirmation, so the better fit is often worth reserving once you find it.

From Neiva, take a bus via Pitalito. After dark, daytime arrival is safer since mountain roads are slower and options are fewer.
