Top-Rated Patmos Boat Tours from Samos

When comparing the options we track across booking platforms, most tours cost between $134 and $155, with a median price of $143. The full spread ranges from around $101 to $179. While you may find occasional listings outside this band, sticking to the core range ensures you are looking at comparable full-day experiences rather than partial add-ons or premium private charters.

These excursions are substantial day trips. The duration typically falls between 9.2 and 11.6 hours, with a median time of about 10 hours. This allows enough time for ferry transit, sightseeing on the island, and return travel, so it is best to plan your day accordingly and avoid scheduling tight connections immediately after the tour ends.

Booking ahead is highly recommended for two main reasons. First, 83% of the options we compare (5 out of 6) offer free cancellation, which gives you flexibility to secure a spot early without financial risk. Second, these are group tours that often fill up during peak season. Securing your place in advance ensures you get a slot on a tour with strong guides, as reviewers frequently mention the quality of leadership as a key part of the experience.

While the activity type is primarily a Sightseeing Tour (67% of options), the content is deeply rooted in culture. 83% of the available tours are tagged as Cultural, with Historical and Religious themes also appearing in the majority of listings. You can expect a guided exploration of Patmos's heritage, including its famous monastery and traditional villages, rather than just open-water sailing. Most options include a guide to provide context, though hotel pickup is less common, appearing in only half of the listings.

Inclusions vary by operator. About half of the tours we compare (50%) include hotel pickup, making them convenient door-to-door services. However, one-third of the options do not include pickup, requiring you to meet at a central location. Since 50% of the tours use a Ferry to reach Patmos and 67% use a Boat for local transport, it is important to check the specific itinerary to understand exactly how you will be moving around before booking.

Sustainability is a niche feature for this specific route. Only one of the six options we compare (17%) is tagged as eco-friendly. If environmental impact is a priority for you, you will need to filter specifically for that tag when browsing platforms, as it is not a standard feature across most Patmos boat cruises.

The pooled reviews across booking platforms show an average rating of 4.06★ based on 175 combined reviews. Sentiment analysis indicates that roughly 55% of reviewed products receive positive feedback. Common praise highlights lovely settings and amazing experiences driven by knowledgeable guides. While the majority of feedback is positive, the moderate rating suggests that while many tours are enjoyable, consistency in service levels can vary between operators, so checking recent comments is wise.

Taxis are available outside the terminal. The ride takes about 10 minutes and costs approximately 15 euros.
