Best Salzburg Airport Transfers Compared

When comparing options across booking platforms, most transfers fall within the $93–$142 range, with a median price of around $103. While you may see listings as low as $71 or as high as $610, the vast majority of travellers pay within that central band. Prices vary based on vehicle type and whether the service includes additional amenities like a meet-and-greet.

Uniquely for this category, 100% of the transfer options we compare are private tours. This means you will not be sharing your ride with other passengers, ensuring a direct route from the airport to your hotel or accommodation. The format is consistently listed as a private transfer or private tour rather than a shuttle service.

While inclusions vary by provider, the most common features across the options we compare include:

• Hotel pickup and drop-off (offered by half of the listings)
• A dedicated driver
• Meet and greet services at the arrivals hall
• Free waiting time

About a third of the options also include a guide, though for a standard transfer, a driver is the primary contact. Most providers offer instant confirmation, allowing you to book with confidence before you land.

The duration depends on your final destination within the city or surrounding areas. Typically, these transfers last between 20 minutes and 1.8 hours, with a median travel time of about 30 minutes. Since these are point-to-point private services, the exact time will depend on traffic conditions and how far your hotel is from the airport terminal.

You can find options offered in five languages: English, German, Hindi, Spanish, and Urdu. English-speaking drivers are widely available, which is helpful if you need assistance navigating the airport or communicating with local contacts upon arrival.

Booking ahead is highly recommended. While only a small fraction of options (about 7%) are flagged as likely to sell out, securing a private transfer ensures you have a confirmed ride upon arrival, especially during peak travel times. Additionally, 89% of the options we compare offer free cancellation, so you can lock in a rate and adjust your plans if needed without penalty.
