The majority of options we compare are private tours (75% of listings), which means you'll typically have a dedicated guide for your group rather than joining a larger group tour. This makes them a substantial half-day or full-day commitment, so plan accordingly if you're combining them with other activities.

Reviewers consistently mention that reaching the castle involves quite a hike, so wear comfortable walking shoes and be prepared for some uphill terrain. This is an important consideration if you have mobility concerns or prefer minimal walking. The hike is part of the castle's charm and appeal to many visitors, but it's worth factoring into your decision.

Tours are available in English, German, and Italian. Most options we compare include a guide (75%), so language choice is typically built into your booking. Check your specific tour listing to confirm the language of your guide.
