Most packages are designed as all-inclusive experiences to handle logistics in the desert. Common inclusions include:

• Hotel pickup and drop-off

Water is also provided by about one-fifth of the operators, but it is wise to bring extra hydration given the duration of the trip.

These are substantial half-day to full-day excursions. Durations typically range from 5 to 18 hours, with a median length of about 6 hours. Because the journey involves travel to the Osian village and time spent with camels, you should block off a significant portion of your day rather than expecting a quick hour-long activity.

Booking ahead is recommended to secure your preferred slot. Most of the options we compare (80%) offer instant confirmation, which suggests good availability, but popular private slots can fill up quickly during peak travel seasons. Additionally, 80% of tours offer free cancellation, giving you flexibility if your plans change.

Tours are offered in two languages: English and Hindi. Since the majority of operators cater to international travellers, English-speaking guides are standard, but having a Hindi speaker can enhance the cultural connection with local hosts in the Osian villages.
