Compare Top Portofino Yacht Charters

The options we compare across booking platforms range from $676 to $3,413, with a median price of $2,587. Because these are private charters rather than shared group tours, the spread is wide. You will find some options starting around $407 and others reaching up to $4,403, but the bulk of listings sit in the mid-range. We recommend filtering by your budget early, as the lower end often reflects shorter durations or smaller vessels.

Yes. Nature-themed experiences represent the largest share of options (86%) and offer a strong value sweet spot. The average rating for nature tours is 4.85★ at approximately $2,550, which sits at or below the typical price point while maintaining high quality. Reviewers frequently mention "amazing views" and describe the experience as "wonderful," making this the most recommended category for travellers seeking scenic beauty without paying premium rates for cultural add-ons.

Most charters last between 3.2 and 8 hours, with a median duration of 7 hours. Since the majority of options (86%) are guided tours, you can expect a structured itinerary that covers the coastline and nearby coves. If you have limited time, look for the shorter cruise options near the 3-hour mark, though be aware that many of the highest-rated private sailing experiences require a full half-day block.

Booking ahead is highly advisable because roughly half of the options we compare (57%) are private tours, which limits daily availability. For flexibility, note that about 57% of listings offer free cancellation, allowing you to secure a slot risk-free. Additionally, 43% provide instant confirmation, meaning you do not need to wait for manual approval from the operator before your trip is locked in.

Guides operate in four primary languages: Italian, English, Spanish, and French. Since 86% of the options are guided tours, language preference is a key filter when comparing listings. Most private charters allow you to specify your preferred language during the booking process, ensuring clear communication throughout the 7-hour median journey.

Given that 57% of the options we compare are private tours, the market heavily favors exclusivity. A private charter allows you to customize the route, stop at secluded beaches, and control the pace, which aligns with the "relaxation" theme present in 71% of listings. While standard boat tours exist (29% of options), they lack the personalization that reviewers consistently praise. For groups or families, the private option offers significantly better value per person despite the higher upfront cost.

Inclusions vary by provider, but common elements include fuel, crew, and all applicable fees and taxes (found in 29% of options). Towels are also provided in 29% of the listings. Food and drinks are included in 43% of tours, so if catering is important to you, verify this explicitly before booking. Since all options use a boat for transport, no additional local transit costs are incurred once you are onboard.
