Tiananmen Square: Best Beijing Tours

The options we compare across booking platforms span a wide spectrum, from budget-friendly walks to premium private experiences. Most tours cost between $6 and $141, with a median price of $46. The full spread reaches as low as $3 and as high as $338 depending on the level of service and inclusions.

Duration varies significantly based on whether you choose a quick sightseeing stop or a deeper cultural exploration. Typical tours last between 2 hours and 10 hours, with the median experience running around 4.5 hours.

While Tiananmen Square itself is an open public area, many of the structured tours we compare include guided entry or priority access. Only 7 of the 73 options (10%) explicitly include skip-the-line access. If avoiding queues is a priority, look for those specific listings rather than assuming all guided tours offer this benefit.

Yes, private tours are a very common format for this destination. Roughly 44% of the options we compare (32 listings) are tagged as private tours. This is unusually high compared to other landmarks, making it easy to find a bespoke itinerary if you prefer traveling without a large group.

Guides are available in 7 languages: English, Chinese, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, and German. Since most options are sightseeing-focused, language availability is generally broad, but it is worth checking the specific listing details when booking.

Most tours focus on cultural and historical education. Common inclusions across the options we compare include:

• Entry Ticket Included (63%)
• Guide Included (60%)
• Hotel Pickup and Drop-off (19%)
• Meals Included (11%)
• Transportation Included (5%)

The average rating across 3,251 pooled reviews is 4.31 stars. Reviewers frequently praise the service quality, with common themes including "great service," "well informed" guides, and experiences that "worked everything perfectly." A small number of reviews mention long lines (noted as "fila é um pouco grande"), so arriving early or choosing a guided option with priority access can help manage wait times.
