Best Delhi Layover Tours & City Highlights

Across the 22 options we compare, prices generally fall between $17 and $54, with a median cost of $28. While you may see listings ranging from $9 to $97, the vast majority of tours sit within that core band. This pricing usually covers the guide fee and basic logistics, though some budget-friendly options may exclude transport or meals.

Most tours are designed to fit within a standard layover window, lasting between 5 and 10 hours, with a median duration of 5 hours. Since these are primarily city tours rather than full-day excursions, they are structured to maximize sightseeing time while ensuring you return to the airport with ample buffer. We recommend checking the specific itinerary of your chosen option to confirm it aligns with your flight schedule.

This means you can often book a dedicated vehicle and guide for just your group, allowing for more flexible pacing and personalized attention during your stopover.

Guides are available in 8 languages: English, French, Spanish, German, Russian, Hindi, Italian, and Japanese. Inclusions vary significantly depending on whether you choose a basic walking/city tour or a more comprehensive package. The most common inclusion is a professional guide, found in 59% of options. Other frequent inclusions include hotel pickup and drop-off (27%) and meals (18%). Only a small fraction of tours (9%) include entry tickets to major monuments, so be sure to check if your selected option covers attraction fees or if those are paid separately.

The primary mode of transport is by car, used in 64% of the options we compare. This makes sense for a layover context, as it allows you to cover more ground efficiently between landmarks like the Red Fort, Jama Masjid, and India Gate without spending excessive time walking in traffic. A smaller share of tours rely on walking or public transport, so verify the transportation method when selecting an itinerary.
