When comparing the 16 tour options we track across booking platforms, prices generally fall between $103 and $245, with a median price of $178. While you may find listings ranging from around $69 to $600, the most common experiences sit in that mid-range band. We recommend checking multiple OTAs like Viator or GetYourGuide to find the best rate for your preferred itinerary.

The tours we compare hold an impressive average rating of 4.98 stars based on 138 pooled reviews. Travelers frequently describe the experience as delightful and awesome, with many highlighting the tasty local products. This high consistency suggests that almost any option you choose from the major platforms will deliver a quality standard.

You have a choice between guided group experiences and more exclusive arrangements. About 31% of the options we compare are tagged as private tours, which is a higher share than for many other attraction types. The remaining 69% are primarily food and wine tasting tours that often include a guide but may be shared. If you prefer personalized attention, look for the private tag; otherwise, the standard guided tours offer excellent value.

Most tours last between 1.5 and 5.5 hours, with a typical duration of around 3 hours. This allows enough time for travel to vineyards and proper tasting sessions without taking up your entire day. Since the majority of options are categorized as food tours (69%) rather than quick tastings, expect a substantial chunk of your afternoon to be dedicated to this activity.

Inclusions vary by provider, but most options we compare feature a guide (75%) and meals (44%). Wine itself is included in about 38% of the listings, while olive oil tasting is less common at 12%. When selecting an option, check specifically if drinks and wine are covered, as some lower-priced tickets may only cover food or non-alcoholic beverages.

Sustainability is a growing focus, though it is not yet the norm for every operator. Only 3 of the options we compare (roughly 19%) are explicitly tagged as eco-friendly. If environmental practices are a priority for you, filter your search on booking platforms for these specific tags, as they represent a small but dedicated subset of the total inventory.

Flexibility is widely available for this activity. Approximately 56% of the tours we compare offer free cancellation, meaning more than half of the choices allow you to reserve now and decide later. Additionally, 56% provide instant confirmation, so you can secure your spot immediately upon payment without waiting for manual approval from the tour operator.

Buses run frequently during peak season. Taxis are available but cost more. Pre-booking is recommended for late arrivals.

Renting an ATV or car provides the most flexibility. Buses connect major villages but have limited schedules. Driving allows easy stops at remote sites.
