Best Positano & Sorrento Tours from Naples

The options we compare across booking platforms typically range from $228 to $689, with a median price of around $411. While the spread can extend from roughly $107 to $883 depending on the operator and vehicle type, most tours fall within that central band. Private formats tend to sit at the higher end of this spectrum.

Inclusions vary significantly by operator, but here is what you will commonly find among the listings we compare:

• A guide is included in about 41% of the options.
• Hotel pickup and drop-off are provided in roughly 32% of tours.
• Transportation (car or bus) is included in approximately 14% of listings.
• Entry tickets are bundled in only about 11% of the options.

Because many tours do not include entry fees or transport, it is worth checking the specific itinerary before booking.

Yes, private tours are a dominant format for this route. In fact, 59% of the options we compare are private tours, making them the most common choice compared to group or shared experiences. This high share suggests that travellers often prefer personalised itineraries when visiting both Positano and Sorrento in a single day.

Most tours last between 6 and 9 hours, with a median duration of 8 hours. Given the distance between Naples, Sorrento, and Positano, a full-day commitment is standard. You should plan your schedule accordingly, as self-guided or shorter half-day options are rare.

We found tours offered in 8 different languages: English, Italian, Spanish, French, German, Arabic, Traditional Chinese (Zh-Tw), and Russian. If you require a guide in a language other than English or Italian, be sure to filter your search results, as not every operator supports all eight.

Skip-the-line access is very uncommon for this specific day tour format. Only 3% of the options we compare (roughly 1 out of 37 listings) explicitly include priority entry. Since these are primarily sightseeing and cultural tours rather than museum visits, skip-the-line benefits are rarely applicable. However, 68% of tours offer free cancellation, which provides flexibility if your plans change.

The most distinctive praise centres on the quality of the guides and the scenic value of the coastal drive.

Stick to well-lit, busy areas like the historic center. Avoid empty side streets and keep valuables hidden.

Look for pizzerias with wood-fired ovens. Order a Margherita or Marinara. Avoid tourist traps near major squares.

Take the Circumvesuviana train from Napoli Centrale station. It runs frequently and costs only a few euros per ticket.
