Nanjing Poetry & Culture Tours

Prices for the tours we compare typically range from $279 to $681, with a median price around $334. While the full spread can be wider, from about $95 to over $2,000, most listings fall within that core band. Private tours tend to sit at the higher end of this range.

The most common inclusions are entry tickets and meals. Specifically, 67% of the options include entry tickets, while roughly half provide meals. A smaller share, about one-third, includes bullet train tickets and a guide. Since these are sightseeing and cultural tours, you can generally expect a structured itinerary rather than just a self-guided list.

Yes, private tours are a significant part of this category. Half of the options (50%) are private tours, which is unusually high compared to standard group activities. This means you have a strong chance of booking a dedicated experience if you prefer flexibility or traveling in a small group.

Duration varies widely depending on whether you choose a day trip or an extended itinerary. Most tours last between 9.4 hours and 7 days, with a median duration of about 12 hours. If you are looking for a single-day experience, expect it to take nearly a full day, whereas multi-day options allow for deeper exploration beyond Shanghai.

Transportation is primarily handled via bullet train and walking. About half of the tours use bullet trains to cover longer distances between cities or landmarks, while roughly a third involve walking as the main mode of local transport. This mix allows for efficient travel between distant sites while keeping you immersed in the local atmosphere on foot.

Tours are available in English and Chinese. Since all options are guided tours, you will have access to professional commentary in one of these two languages. If you require other languages, you may need to check specific provider details, but English and Chinese are the standard offerings across the platforms we compare.

Booking ahead is recommended, especially for private tours or those requiring bullet train tickets. About one-third of the options offer free cancellation, giving you some flexibility if your plans change. Additionally, half of the tours provide instant confirmation, making it easier to secure your spot without waiting for manual approval.
