Yes. Half of the options we compare (50%) are private tours. These allow your party to have the entire boat to yourselves, which is ideal for families or small groups wanting flexibility. The other half are shared group tours where you will be on the water with other travellers.

Most tours last between 3.6 and 4 hours, with the median experience clocking in at exactly 4 hours. This duration allows enough time for the boat to travel into deeper waters where whales are most active, rather than just staying close to the harbour.

The largest share of options are guided tours (75%). Within that, the two dominant formats are private tours and standard group charters. All listed options include a professional guide, so you do not need to worry about navigating or interpreting wildlife sightings yourself.

Booking ahead is recommended, especially for private charters which sell out faster due to limited availability. About half of the options (50%) offer instant confirmation, meaning you can secure your spot immediately after payment. However, for peak summer months, securing your ticket days in advance ensures you get your preferred departure time.

Yes. Every option we compare is tagged with both Nature and Wildlife themes. While the primary focus is spotting whales, the experience also includes broader wildlife watching and sightseeing elements, making it a comprehensive coastal excursion rather than just a simple boat ride.

All tours are conducted in English. If you require interpretation services, you would need to arrange them independently, as none of the listed operators provide multilingual guides.
