Compare Best Amboseli & Maasai Mara Tours

When comparing options across booking platforms, most safari packages fall between $508 and $1,620, with a median price of around $852. While the typical spread ranges from $194 to $4,400, prices below $500 are rare for full-day or multi-day experiences. We recommend looking at the mid-range options for the best balance of guide quality and vehicle comfort.

Duration varies significantly depending on whether you choose a day trip or an overnight experience. Most options we compare last between 11.4 hours and 5 days, with a median duration of 3 days. If you are short on time, look for the shorter game drive options, but note that many highly rated reviews mention the 'more magnificent' views when allowing extra days for wildlife spotting.

Yes, privacy is a strong feature of this itinerary. About half (50%) of the tours we compare are private tours, meaning you will have your own dedicated vehicle and guide. This is higher than average for general city tours and allows for a more flexible schedule where you can stop whenever you spot wildlife.

Guides are available in five languages: English, Spanish, French, German, and Italian. Since 100% of the options are guided tours, you can select a listing that matches your preferred language before booking. We suggest checking the specific listing details to confirm the guide's proficiency level if you are not traveling in English.

Most packages are all-inclusive regarding logistics and entry. Specifically:

• Guide Included: 67% of options
• Drinks Included: 50% of options
• Entry Ticket Included: 50% of options
• Hotel Pickup and Drop-off: 50% of options
• Accommodation Included: 39% of options

Always verify the inclusion list on the booking page, as some lower-priced options may exclude park fees or meals.

Transportation is primarily by road using specialized vehicles. The most common methods are:

• Car: 28% of options
• Safari Vehicle: 17% of options
• Jeep: 11% of options

For the best wildlife viewing experience, we recommend selecting a listing that specifies a 'Safari Vehicle' or 'Jeep' rather than a standard car, as these offer better visibility and comfort on rough terrain.

Booking ahead is advisable because popular slots sell out, especially during peak wildlife seasons. All options we compare offer instant confirmation, which helps secure your spot quickly. Review sentiment is overwhelmingly positive, with an average rating of 4.85 stars across 32 pooled reviews. Travelers frequently describe the guides as 'extremely friendly' and the experience as 'fun' and 'top notch', though it is worth noting that availability can be tight for private tours.
