Best Wine Tours: Pisa & Lucca from La Spezia

Most of the options we compare across booking platforms fall between $512 and $1,220, with a median price around $600. The typical spread ranges from about $352 to $1,411. Because these are largely private experiences, prices reflect the exclusivity and inclusions rather than a basic entry ticket.

The vast majority are private. Specifically, 91% of the options we compare (10 listings) are tagged as private tours. This means you will likely have your own dedicated guide and vehicle for the duration, rather than joining a larger mixed group.

You should plan for a full day out. Most tours run between 7 and 9 hours, with a median duration of 8 hours. This allows enough time to travel between Pisa and Lucca, visit wineries, and enjoy tastings without rushing.

Inclusions vary by provider, but most packages cover the essentials for a smooth day trip. Key inclusions we see across the options are:

• Guide Included (64% of options)
• Transport Included (45% of options), usually via car, minivan, or bus
• Wine Included (27% of options)
• Hotel Pickup and Drop-off (27% of options)

It is worth checking the specific listing to confirm if transport and wine are bundled, as this affects the overall value.

Booking ahead is highly recommended. While only 18% of the options we compare (2 listings) are currently flagged as likely to sell out, the high demand for private guides and limited capacity on small vehicles means slots fill up quickly. Additionally, 91% of the options (10 listings) offer free cancellation, so you can secure your preferred date with flexibility.

Guides are offered in four main languages: English, Italian, Spanish, and French. Since 73% of the options (8 listings) are guided tours, language preference should be a key factor when selecting your specific listing to ensure clear communication during the cultural and historical commentary.
