Shorter trips often focus on the bay itself and nearby viewpoints, while longer excursions may combine Maya Bay with other islands in the Krabi archipelago. Be sure to check the specific duration listed, as a 4-hour trip is quite different from a full-day island-hopping adventure.

Boat transport is the primary way these tours operate. Most options use a speedboat (53%) or a general boat (67%). A smaller number of tours utilize traditional longtail boats (13%), which offer a more authentic but slower experience. Speedboats are faster and better for covering multiple islands, while longtail boats provide a quieter, more scenic approach to the bay.
