Best Kobe Sushi Tours & Classes

The options we compare across booking platforms range widely, from around $3 to $189. While the median price sits at $3, this low figure likely reflects partial add-ons or deposits rather than a full tour. For a complete experience, most travellers should expect to spend between $30 and $61. We recommend filtering by your preferred budget when browsing, as prices vary significantly depending on whether you choose a self-guided tasting or a guided food tour.

Almost all available options are focused on Food & Drinks, with 95% classified specifically as Food Tours. A smaller subset (11%) are categorized as general Food Tastings. If you are looking for cultural immersion or entertainment, note that only about three-quarters of these tours include a cultural theme, while entertainment-focused experiences are rare in this category.

Most tours fall within a 1.8 to 4-hour window, with the median duration being 4 hours. This suggests that the most popular options are substantial experiences rather than quick bites. When planning your itinerary, allow for a half-day commitment if you book one of the standard guided or group tours.

You have flexibility in format. The majority of options are open to solo travellers or small groups, but there is a distinct mix available: 21% are Group Tours, 21% are Self-Guided, and 16% are Guided Tours. Additionally, 3 options (16% of the total) are Private Tours, which offer a more exclusive dining setting. If you prefer not to share a table with strangers, look for the private dining tags.

Tours are available in English and Japanese. Since the data shows these are the only two languages supported across the compared listings, non-English speakers may find fewer options. If you require Japanese-language guidance, ensure you filter for that specific language when selecting from the 19 options we track.

Booking ahead is advisable for peace of mind. 74% of the options we compare (14 out of 19) offer instant confirmation, meaning you can secure your spot immediately without waiting for approval. However, only 2 options (11%) offer free cancellation, so check the policy carefully before paying. Given the high rate of instant confirmation, last-minute bookings are feasible, but popular time slots may fill up quickly during peak seasons.

Inclusions vary by provider, but here is what you can generally expect based on the pooled data:

• Meals Included: Available in 42% of options.
• Guide Included: Provided in 16% of options.
• Drinks Included: Offered in 11% of options.
• Seat Reservation: Secured in 11% of options.

Since meals are included in less than half of the tours, verify whether the price covers the sushi itself or just the reservation fee. Similarly, guides are not standard; many options are self-guided tastings where you navigate the venue independently.

Take the Haruka Express to Shin-Kobe Station. It takes about 60 minutes and costs around 3,240 yen.

No, it is closed for maintenance. Visit the Meriken Park area instead for great views of the harbor.

Try restaurants in Sannomiya or Motomachi. Look for certified shops displaying the official Kobe Beef logo.
