Van Long Nature Reserve: Best Tours & Excursions

The options we compare across booking platforms typically range from $105 to $165, with most tours costing between $116 and $144. The median price sits at around $123. While there is some variation, you generally won't find ultra-budget options below $100 or premium experiences exceeding $165 for this specific tour group.

Since the theme is overwhelmingly focused on nature, you can expect an immersive outdoor experience. Most of the tours we compare are boat tours (67%), which aligns with the reserve's wetland landscape. You will also likely encounter kayaking and sightseeing elements. About half of the options include cultural insights, while wildlife spotting is featured in a third of the tours.

A significant majority of the options we compare are private tours. Specifically, 67% of the listings are tagged as private, meaning you will likely have your own dedicated guide and vehicle/boat. The remaining portion consists of group tours, so if you prefer traveling with others, you should filter for that when comparing prices.

These are full-day adventures rather than quick visits. The duration typically spans from 7 hours up to 1.2 days, with a median length of about 9 hours. This allows enough time for boat navigation through the reed beds and stops at key viewpoints like the stork colony.

Transportation is included in roughly half of the options we compare (50%). For those that do not include transport, you will need to arrange your own transfer from Hanoi to the reserve. Since the reserve is located outside the city center, checking whether hotel pickup is part of the package is a smart way to save time and hassle.

Flexibility is common for this tour type. About 67% of the options we compare offer free cancellation, allowing you to reschedule or refund without penalty if you cancel within the specified window. However, since one-third of the tours may have stricter policies, always verify the cancellation terms before confirming your reservation.
