Best Malta & Mdina Day Tour Options from Gozo

Across the options we compare on booking platforms, these tours usually sit around $78–$680, with a median price of $122. There is a wider overall spread of $77–$1,916, which suggests a mix of standard full day sightseeing trips and pricier premium or private versions.

This is very clearly a sightseeing-focused cultural and historical tour. Every option we compare is a sightseeing tour, and all of them are tagged as cultural and historical. If you want a structured day that links Malta highlights with Mdina in one booking, this format is usually the main value, especially since most options are guided and many also handle transport.

The typical option is a full day, with a median duration of 8 hours. Across booking platforms, the shortest options start at about 5 hours, while the longest stretch to about 4 days, so it is worth checking the exact itinerary before booking if you want a classic one day Malta and Mdina trip.

The most common inclusions are the practical ones travellers usually want for a full day outing:

• A guide is included in most options
• Entry tickets are included in about half
• Bus transport is the most common way these tours get around

That makes a difference when comparing prices, since a cheaper option may not include the same admissions or guided elements as a higher priced one.

They are mostly guided sightseeing trips, but private options do exist. Among the tours we compare, 1 in 4 is a private tour, which is a relatively strong showing for a small set of options. If you want a more tailored day or are travelling as a couple, family, or small group, it is worth comparing those private versions against the standard shared tours.

Language choice is one of the stronger points here. Across booking platforms, these tours are offered in 8 languages: English, Polish, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Russian, and Portuguese. That is useful if you are trying to avoid an English-only group tour.

The options we compare average 4.28★ across 2,654 reviews combined across booking platforms, which is a solid signal for this tour group. Booking ahead is sensible if you want flexibility, especially because only a handful offer free cancellation and a handful offer instant confirmation, so the most convenient options may be the first ones travellers compare.
