You should plan for a substantial half-day commitment. The duration typically spans 5 to 7.6 hours, with a median time of about 5.5 hours. This reflects the physical nature of the hike and the time needed to traverse the levada paths comfortably. It is not a quick walk; factor in travel time to the trailhead and potential breaks along the way.
