Sledding and Homesteading Adventure
This is a 1.5 mile mini mushing activity that circles our property through black spruce, alders, and birch trees. The actual sledding time is 15-20 minutes. Full activity time is 1-1.5 hours. In the beginning we will go over how to ride on and in your tandem dog sleds. Once we have this out of the way we can create some noise and meet the dogs! While you enjoy kisses and hugs from your loving huskies we will harness and hook up the team. Once hooked up we will head out onto your trails around the property with great views from high on a ridge. There are ample opportunities for photos along the way and plenty of cuddle time when we return to the kennel. The Kennel visit will take place either before or after your sled ride, dependent on weather, the dogs, and your guide's schedule.
- Arctic oven tent, heated to warm up in
- Plenty of extra time for photos and dog visits during and after
- Hot coffee, tea, and cocoa
- Extra winter gear provided as needed
AI Review Summary
Overall, the Sledding and Homesteading Adventure gets rave reviews, with every traveler calling it an extremely fun and unforgettable winter outing. Guests love the short but thrilling 15‑20 minute sled ride through spruce‑filled ridges, the friendly, knowledgeable husky team and guides, and the extra touches like hand‑ and toe‑warmers. Highlights include the hands‑on intro to tandem sledding, plenty of photo‑worthy moments on the ridge, and the cuddly kennel visit that lets you meet the dogs up close. Reviewers repeatedly mention the experience as a “wonderful” and “100/10” recommendation, praising the guide’s warmth and the overall entertaining vibe. Because all three reviews are positive, there are no common complaints—any minor issues seem purely subjective. AI Travel Tips: - Pack hand and toe warmers plus layered clothing to stay cozy on the trail. - Bring a camera or smartphone for the many scenic photo spots along the ridge. - Early afternoon slots often have the best light and milder snow conditions.
