Yes, private tours are a significant portion of what is available. Roughly 39% of the options we compare (65 listings) are tagged as private tours. This allows you to tailor the itinerary and travel at your own pace without sharing the vehicle with other groups. The remaining options are primarily group tours.

Duration varies significantly depending on whether you want a day trip or a full expedition. Most tours range from about 13.5 hours to 4 days, with a median duration of 3 days. Shorter game drives exist, but the majority of highly-rated options are multi-day experiences that allow more time in the park.

You will find guides offering tours in eight different languages. The most common are English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Polish, and Norwegian. If you require a specific language, it is worth filtering your search on the booking platform to confirm availability for your preferred date.

Transportation methods vary by operator, but the most common mode is a standard car, used in about 44% of the options we compare. For the actual wildlife viewing inside the park, a dedicated 4x4 vehicle is used in roughly 17% of listings, while jeeps account for about 9%. Some shorter city-to-park transfers may involve train or walking components, but the core safari experience relies on road transport.

Booking ahead is highly recommended given the strong traveller feedback. The options we compare hold an average rating of 4.91 stars based on 1,364 pooled reviews.
