From Yichang, take a bus or taxi (30-40 minutes, about 40km). Alternatively, take a cruise ship that passes through the dam. Public buses depart regularly from Yichang's main stations throughout the day.

Avoid photographing military installations and sensitive areas. Wear comfortable shoes for walking the dam. Follow all guide instructions and stay within designated visitor zones for your safety and security.
