Explore Chiang Rai Jungle Treks

Across the 51 options we compare, most tours fall between $56 and $113, with a median price of around $65. While you may see listings starting as low as $53 or going up to $325 for multi-day private experiences, the typical budget for a solid day trek sits comfortably in that mid-range. Booking through different platforms can shift prices slightly, so comparing across sites helps find the best value.

The most common inclusion is a local guide, found in roughly half of the options we compare. About a third of tours also include meals, which reviewers frequently praise as wonderful food and an amazing lunch. Other frequent inclusions are:

• Hotel pickup and drop-off (found in about one-fifth of tours)
• Insurance coverage
• Accommodation (mostly in multi-day treks)

If you want a hassle-free experience where transport and food are handled, look for tours that explicitly list these items rather than just 'guide included'.

Yes, sustainability is a strong feature here. Roughly 63% of the tours we compare are tagged as eco-friendly. This suggests that many operators prioritize low-impact hiking and cultural respect over mass tourism. Since the theme is overwhelmingly nature-focused (98% of options), choosing one of these tagged tours aligns well with preserving the local environment.

Duration varies significantly depending on whether you want a quick hike or an immersive experience. The typical range is from 6 hours to 2 days, with a median duration of around 9 hours. Most standard day trips will take most of your morning or afternoon, while multi-day options involve overnight stays in the jungle or nearby villages.

Group guided tours are the dominant format, accounting for 86% of the options we compare. Private tours make up only about 16% (8 options). For most travellers, a group tour offers the best balance of cost and social interaction. However, if you need flexible pacing or specific language support, the smaller pool of private tours might be worth the extra cost.

You can find tours offered in 7 languages: English, Thai, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Russian, and Italian. English-speaking guides are widely available given the popularity of the activity, but if you prefer another language, check the specific listing details before booking to ensure a guide is confirmed for your slot.
