Compare Top Erawan Waterfall Tours

Across the 13 tour options we compare, prices generally fall between $108 and $227, with a median price of around $130. You may occasionally find listings starting from $69 or going up to $260, but these outliers often reflect private group sizes or premium add-ons. Most standard shared-group tours sit comfortably within that core $108–$227 band.

Inclusions vary significantly by provider, so it is important to check the specific listing details before booking. The most common inclusions across the options we compare are:

• Guide Included: Available on roughly half of the tours (54%)
• Entry Ticket: Covered in about a third of the packages (31%)
• Hotel Pickup/Drop-off: Offered by roughly a quarter of operators (23%)
• Insurance: Included in approximately one-quarter of tours (23%)
• Meals: Provided in about one-quarter of the experiences (23%)

Because only 31% include entry tickets, many travellers book a tour for transport and guidance, then pay the park fee separately at the entrance.

Yes, private tours are a very popular choice for this destination. In fact, 54% of the options we compare (7 out of 13) are explicitly tagged as private tours. This is unusually high compared to other regional attractions and means you can often secure a dedicated vehicle and guide if you prefer flexibility over a shared group dynamic. The remaining 46% are shared-group experiences.

These are full-day commitments. The duration typically ranges from 8 to 12 hours, with a median time of 10 hours. Because the waterfall is located deep within Erawan National Park, travel time from central Kanchanaburi or nearby towns consumes a significant portion of the day. Most itineraries are structured as day tours rather than half-day excursions.

The three main languages available across the booking platforms are English, Thai, and Spanish. Since 100% of the tours we compare are guided, you will have access to commentary in these languages. If you require a guide in another language, you would likely need to look for a custom private arrangement, as standard shared tours stick to this core trio.

Transportation methods are fairly evenly split between two primary options: Bus and Train. Each mode accounts for 46% of the tours we compare. A smaller share of options use private cars (15%) or involve walking segments (15%). The bus options are typically coach-style transfers from hotel pickup points, while train-based tours often combine a scenic rail journey with local transport to the park entrance.

Booking ahead is highly recommended because popular time slots sell out quickly, especially during peak dry season. Regarding quality, the pooled reviews across the options we compare show an average rating of 4.29 stars from 168 combined reviews. Sentiment is overwhelmingly positive, with reviewers frequently highlighting "expert tour guides," "super friendly" staff, and a "great experience." Roughly 83% of analysed review snippets are classified as positive. While the vast majority praise the guides, a small number of reviews mention that the site can become crowded mid-morning, so an early start is advisable.

Take a train or bus to Kanchanaburi town, then hire a local songthaew for the final 20 minute ride to the bridge.

No, the railway tracks are uneven and steep. Most sections require walking on rough terrain which is not suitable for wheelchairs.

Arrive early before 9 AM to avoid crowds and heat. Wear sturdy shoes as the trail to the seventh waterfall involves climbing rocks.
