Across the 23 tour options we compare, prices generally fall between $105 and $470, with a median price of $151. The full spread is wider, ranging from around $55 to $1,491, depending on whether you choose a shared group experience or a private charter. Most listings include fuel and basic equipment, but premium private yachts will sit at the higher end of that range.

For most travellers, a guided option provides better value because nearly half of the tours we compare (48%) include a professional guide. These guides navigate the island's protected marine areas and share local history, which is difficult to do independently. Additionally, 35% of options include meals and 26% include drinks, turning the trip into a complete day out rather than just transport.

The vast majority of tours (96%) use standard motorboats or rigid-hulled inflatable boats (RIBs) for speed and stability. A smaller share involves sailing vessels or dinghies, particularly for more adventurous or intimate experiences. If you prefer a traditional sailing experience, note that 13% of the options specifically feature sailing boats, though this is less common than motorised transfers.

Yes, private tours are quite common for this destination. About 26% of the options we track are fully private, allowing your group to set the pace and itinerary without strangers. This format is ideal for families or small groups who want flexibility, though it comes at a higher price point compared to the shared group tours that make up 39% of the inventory.

Expect the excursion to take between 3.6 and 8 hours, with a typical duration of 6.5 hours. This timeframe allows enough time to reach both Tavolara and Molara islands, swim in secluded coves, and enjoy lunch. Shorter trips exist but are rare, while longer multi-day combinations are not part of this specific tour group.

Guides operate in 6 primary languages: English, Italian, French, Spanish, Portuguese, and German. When browsing the 23 options, you can filter by language preference to ensure your guide speaks your preferred tongue. English-speaking guides are widely available across both group and private formats.

Flexibility is high for this activity. 91% of the tours we compare offer free cancellation, often up to 24 hours before departure. Only a handful of options have stricter policies, so if your schedule is uncertain, look for the "Free Cancellation" tag when comparing prices across platforms.
