Ride Bordeaux: Sidecar Tours & Adventures

The options we compare across booking platforms typically range from $129 to $200, with a median price of $146. While the full spread can go as low as $70 or as high as $397 depending on group size and inclusions, most travellers should budget within that core band. Private tours tend to sit at the higher end of this range.

With an average rating of 4.97 stars across 373 pooled reviews, these tours are consistently praised for being fun and memorable. Most include a guide (85% of options), ensuring you get historical context and cultural insights you might miss otherwise. The combination of unique transport and expert commentary makes it a strong value compared to a basic self-guided walk.

While packages vary, the most common inclusions are:

• A professional guide
• Live commentary throughout the ride
• Wine tasting (offered by about a third of options)
• Helmet provision (for safety during the sidecar ride)

Since most options are classified as walking tours despite the vehicle use, guides often provide detailed stops at key landmarks rather than just driving past them.

Yes, private tours are the dominant format here. 69% of the options we compare are private, meaning you can usually book the sidecar exclusively for your party. This is ideal for couples or small groups who want flexibility and personalised attention, though it comes at a premium compared to shared group experiences.

Most tours run between 1.5 and 3.5 hours, with a median duration of roughly 1.5 hours. You will find some shorter 45-minute introductions and longer half-day excursions, but the majority fit comfortably into a standard afternoon itinerary.

No, tours are offered in both English and French. However, since the total number of options is relatively small (13 listings), availability in specific languages may vary by date. We recommend checking the language filter when comparing options to ensure your preferred guide is available.
