Best Bintan Island Tour Options for Island Travel

Across the 31 tour options we compare on booking platforms, Bintan is mostly about nature. Nature is the dominant theme in 90% of the options we compare, and sightseeing tours are the most common format, making up 61% of listings. In practice, that means travellers are usually choosing scenic island touring rather than museum-style or heavily structured city experiences.

The typical price sits in the $23–$54 range, with a median of $45 across the options we compare. The broader spread runs from $9–$69, so there are cheaper and pricier outliers, but for most travellers a Bintan island tour lands in that mid-range band.

Yes. Private tours are unusually common here, with 58% of the options we compare offered as private experiences. That fits Bintan well, since many tours get around by car and some by private driver, so travellers who want a quieter day, more flexibility, or a better fit for couples and families have plenty of choice.

If value matters most, the standout is the relaxation category, which averages 4.71★ at $25. That is below the usual price level for Bintan tours while still rating above the overall average, so it is a strong sweet spot if the goal is a laid-back experience rather than packing in as many stops as possible.

Inclusions vary, but a few patterns show up across platforms:

• About a third include a guide
• About a third include hotel pickup and drop-off
• Some include entry tickets
• A smaller share include equipment or meals

That mix suggests it is worth checking each listing closely, especially if transfers or admission fees matter to your budget.

Most run anywhere from about 2.5 hours to 1 day, with a median length of 7 hours. Transport is often part of the experience: car is the most common way to get around, while some tours use boats, and a smaller number use a private driver or kayak. That lines up with Bintan's mix of scenic road trips, coastal stops, and nature-focused outings.
