Book Wadi Rum Cave Camping Tours

Most of the options we compare across booking platforms fall between $120 and $185, with a median price of around $128. The full spread ranges from about $108 to $213, so you can find deals on the lower end if you book early or choose standard packages.

Every single option we compare for this experience is a private tour. This means your group will have a dedicated guide and vehicle throughout the entire duration, offering more flexibility than shared group tours found elsewhere in the region.

Guides are offered in eight languages: English, Italian, Spanish, Russian, German, Japanese, French, and Arabic. This wide selection ensures that most international travellers can find a guide who speaks their preferred language comfortably.

The duration varies significantly depending on the package, ranging from a short 6-hour sightseeing trip to an overnight stay of up to 1.6 days. The median experience lasts about 13 hours, which usually covers a full day of desert exploration followed by an evening under the stars.

Inclusions vary by provider, but here is what you can generally expect based on the options we compare:

• Guide Included: About 60% of tours provide a professional local guide.
• Accommodation Included: Roughly 40% include the cave camping setup itself.
• Hotel Pickup and Drop-off: Around 40% offer transportation from your hotel in Aqaba or Petra.

Since all tours are private, you will also have exclusive use of the transport, which is almost always a jeep (80% of options).

Flexibility is available but not universal. Only 40% of the tours we compare offer free cancellation, while the majority require non-refundable payment at the time of booking. If your itinerary is uncertain, look specifically for the "free cancellation" filter when comparing options.

Yes, booking ahead is highly recommended. While 60% of options offer instant confirmation, the private nature of these tours means capacity is limited. Since the activity combines sightseeing (80% of options) with camping (40%), popular dates fill quickly, especially during peak travel seasons in Jordan.

Yes, you can try scuba diving with an instructor. This is called Discover Scuba Diving and requires no prior certification.

Buses are cheap but infrequent. Taxis are affordable and widely available for getting around the city quickly.

Use Jordanian Dinar. ATMs are common in malls. US Dollars are also accepted at many tourist shops.
