Top-Rated Jordaan Walking Tours & Guides

When comparing the 36 tour options we track across booking platforms, prices generally range from $25 to $137, with a median of $96. While you may see listings starting as low as $11 or going up to $300, the bulk of available experiences fall within that core band. Private tours and larger food-focused groups tend to sit at the higher end of this spectrum.

Most tours last between 1.8 and 4 hours, with the median experience running about 2.8 hours. This allows enough time to explore the narrow streets and canals without feeling rushed. If you are looking for a quick overview, you will find shorter walks in the lower half of that range, while more comprehensive cultural or food-heavy itineraries push toward the 4-hour mark.

Yes, private tours are quite common here. About 39% of the options we compare (14 out of 36) are tagged as private tours. This is a notably high share compared to many other city activities, making it easy to book a dedicated guide if you prefer a personalized pace or are traveling in a larger group. The remaining options are mostly standard group tours.

You have a wide selection of language choices. Tours are offered in 8 languages: English, German, Dutch, French, Italian, Arabic, Russian, and Spanish. Since English is widely available, you should not need to worry about language barriers unless you are specifically seeking one of the less common options like Arabic or Russian.

Skip-the-line access is rare for this specific type of activity. Only 3% of the options we compare (1 listing) explicitly include it. Since these are primarily street-level walking tours rather than museum entries, queues are usually minimal anyway. However, if you are combining your walk with a specific attraction entry, check the details carefully as most tours focus on the route itself.

The consensus is overwhelmingly positive. Across 1,221 pooled reviews, the average rating is 4.58 stars. Travelers frequently mention the lovely atmosphere, great guides, and interesting insights into local history. A recurring theme in food-focused options is the abundance of tastings, with many noting they had so much food. The guides are consistently described as knowledgeable and wonderful.

Inclusions vary by tour type, but here is what you can generally expect based on the options we compare:

• Guide Included: Present in roughly half of the tours.
• Food Samples/Tastings: Found in about 11% and 8% of options respectively, mostly on food-themed walks.
• Drinks/Meals: Less common, appearing in only 11% and 8% of listings.

Most walking tours focus on the guided experience and commentary rather than providing full meals or drinks.
