Compare Tours: Baptism Site & Jordan Valley

When comparing options across booking platforms, most tours cost between $68 and $157, with a median price of around $108. The full spread of available listings ranges from about $49 to $285. While you may find some lower-priced add-ons or partial tickets, the core guided experiences generally sit within that primary band.

The vast majority of options we compare are private tours. Specifically, 83% of the listings (10 out of 12) are tagged as private, meaning you will likely have your own dedicated guide rather than joining a large public group. This high share reflects the site's preference for intimate, personalized religious visits.

Most tours last between 4 and 9.8 hours, with a median duration of about 5 hours. Because many options include hotel pickup and drop-off, plus time for travel along the river, they are typically half-day or full-day commitments rather than quick stopovers.

Booking ahead is recommended since popular slots can fill up, especially during peak seasons. On the positive side, flexibility is widely available: 75% of the options (9 out of 12) offer free cancellation, allowing you to adjust plans if needed without penalty.

Guides are available in 8 languages: English, Arabic, Russian, German, Portuguese, Japanese, Polish, and Chinese. This wide selection ensures that international travelers can find a guide who speaks their preferred language comfortably.

Inclusions vary by provider, but here is what you can generally expect:

• Guide Included: Available in 75% of options.
• Hotel Pickup/Drop-off: Offered by about one-third of tours.
• Entry Tickets: Included in roughly 25% of listings.
• Wi-Fi/Drinks: Occasionally provided by a small number of premium operators.

Always check the specific itinerary details before booking, as some prices cover only the guide while others bundle transport and admission.

Tap water is treated but locals often prefer bottled water. You should stick to sealed bottles for drinking and brushing teeth.

Use ride-hailing apps like Careem or Uber for convenience and fixed rates. Public buses are cheap but can be confusing for tourists.

Modest attire is required. Women must cover shoulders and knees, while men should avoid shorts. Carry a scarf for mosque visits.
