Best Yala National Park Safari Tours in Al Hamra

Across the 59 tour options we compare on booking platforms, the price you’ll usually see is about $66–$167, with a median around $97. The overall spread is much wider, roughly $27–$780, which usually reflects differences in tour length, format, and what’s included.

This is very much a nature-led experience, with 98% of the options we compare tagged around nature. The most common tour type is sightseeing, rather than a single fixed safari format, and there’s also a noticeable mix of hiking, safari, adventure, and wildlife-focused options. In practice, that means travellers are choosing between gentler scenic outings and more active trips, not just one standard park drive.

The options we compare range from about 1.5 hours to 17.5 hours, with a typical duration around 6 hours. That makes Yala suitable for anything from a shorter outing to a near full day experience, so it’s worth checking the duration closely before booking.

Inclusions vary quite a bit, so it’s worth comparing carefully. Among the options we track, the most common extras are:

• Guide included, on about a quarter of listings
• Meals included, on roughly a sixth
• Equipment provided, on about 1 in 10
• Hotel pickup and drop-off, on about 1 in 10
• Transportation included, on a smaller share

The key point is that not every Yala option is all-inclusive, so the cheapest tours are not always the best value.

There isn’t one single transport style that dominates. Walking is the most common format, followed by car-based options, and a smaller share use boat, jeep, or horse. That mix helps explain the wide price range and why some tours feel more scenic while others are more adventurous. Reviews also repeatedly mention "not for the faint of heart", which is a useful clue that some of the more active options are better for confident travellers.

Private options are available too, but they are a smaller slice, about 15% of the options we compare, so they’re worth booking early if that format matters to you.
